5 Things To Do After Toronto’s Waterfront Festival

The Toronto Waterfront Festival is returning on September 16 and 17, and while you’re visiting the waterfront, here are 5 other activities you can do after the Waterfront Festival.

Here Are The 5 Things You Can Do After Toronto’s Waterfront Festival:

CATCH A COMEDY SHOW

The Second City is one of Toronto’s most iconic comedy clubs. With all their shows having rave reviews and being known for ‘hitting the heights of hilarity’, it’s a must-do while at the waterfront.

The Second City is a short 10-minute walk from The Waterfront Festival and a few steps from Union Station.

I <3 Toronto is a hilarious comedy revue and a must-see. You can watch this show on September 16 at 8:00 PM, or if you’re visiting on September 17, then stop by to see The Second City’s Comedy Brunch.

RENT A BIKE

Explore the entire waterfront on a bike!

Toronto’s waterfront is known for its bike path and beautiful scenery, so take advantage of your time and explore the waterfront after the festival.

You can rent a bike from Wheel Excitement at 249 Queens Quay W.

And here’s a great guide on where to go biking.

TRY SAILING

Spend your day at the waterfront festival and spend your evening relaxing on a 3-hour luxury sail with Gone Sailing. You don’t need any sailing experience! Just be ready for an unforgettable experience.

The evening sails start at 5 PM.

WATCH THE OPERA - FOR FREE

The Canadian Opera Company will be at Harbourfront Centre on September 16 at 7:30 PM, and you can immerse yourself in the exhilarating power of live opera – for free!

The rare performance is 1 hour long, and it’s recommended to arrive 15 minutes early.

VAN GOGH IMMERSIVE

You can immerse yourself into the world of Van Gogh, and it’s less than a minute away from The Waterfront Festival.

Over his lifetime, Van Gogh’s artistic style changed multiple times as his life took different and unexpected turns. Within 10 years, Van Gogh created over 800 paintings, but only one was sold.

Today, his paintings are some of the most expensive in the world, and the Van Gogh immersive exhibit allows you to experience them.

Grab your tickets before they’re gone!

ICE CREAM

After the Waterfront Festival, wander to the central waterfront and try some ice cream!

The frozen sweet treat is the perfect companion after the festival, and you can enjoy it while watching the beautiful scenery.

There is a lot of great ice cream to try, and here is just a few:

  • Lisa’s Ice Cream:
    • With over 30 flavours and 20 toppings, you will find something for everybody while you wander the waterfront board walk!
