Boats typically operate during the warmer months – usually between May and October, but it is best to check with the operator. Tickets for boat excursions and rentals tend to book up quickly, especially on weekends, so we encourage you to call the operators ahead to book your excursion.
You can find convenient parking lot locations on our parking webpage, or access these boats by rideshare, TTC, GO Transit, foot, or by bike.
Below is a list of all the various water taxi, boat rental, tour and Toronto boat cruises companies and marinas that serve the public along the waterfront, with their respective boat locations marked on the map below.
Water taxis are a super convenient way to get to the Toronto Islands. They can drop you off at one of three drop-off points: Wards Island, Centre Island, or Hanlan’s Point. Each water taxi company docks at an independent spot along the mainland and can take you to all three docks on the Toronto Islands. Most companies also provide quick return taxi service from the islands. Get close to the water with a canoe, kayak, or pedal boat rental. Paddle around the inner harbour, or explore the channels, lagoons, and beaches of the Toronto Islands. Learn to sail, or have an experienced captain take you around the inner harbour in style with a sailboat, powerboat, yacht bareboat rentals or charter. Training is available to operate a vessel safely and confidently, which is a great way to get into boating. Charters with skilled captains and their crew are also available for guided excursions from some providers.

Cruising Toronto Harbour is a scenic and tranquil way to enjoy the waterfront with people you care about. Toronto Boat cruises are operated by professional captains and crew who are trained and licenced as per Transport Canada regulations on certified vessels that carry the appropriate commercial insurance policies to ensure a safe and fun voyage. The companies below offer various different excursions, from public brunch cruises to private events such as office cruises and weddings. While some companies sell tickets for public events and dining cruises at nearby kiosks or boat-side, we recommend booking them in advance online or by phone.
