The Waterfront BIA in partnership with Waterfront Toronto has engaged Environics Analytics to provide data on visitation to the waterfront, and the demographics of the visitors.
Key Findings:
- From January to October 2022, a total of 2,990,856 unique visitors came to the waterfront and made up a total of 56,507,368 daily visits. (See page 2 for definitions)
- 44% of visitors to the waterfront were from City of Toronto Boundaries, with visitors from the GTHA making up a cumulative 40% of visitation, illustrating the significant draw to the waterfront from outside of the City’s boundaries.
- 48.4% of Torontonians visited the Waterfront between January and October, 2022.
