As Toronto entered Stage 3 of Ontario’s restart phase on Friday, July 31st, nearly all businesses and public spaces are allowed to reopen including indoor dining, gyms, fitness studios, theatres, cosmetic clinics and playgrounds. Learn about the framework for reopening in Stage 3.

The Waterfront's Artist in Residency

Black Speculative Arts Movement Canada (BSAM Canada) was selected for the first-ever Waterfront Artist Residency Program. The 16-month residency was created and made possible through a partnership between Waterfront Toronto and The Waterfront BIA, with the aim to create meaningful, experiential encounters with the community, activate under-utilized spaces along the lakefront and draw new audiences to the waterfront.

The Bentway brings waterfront sites to life with art

‘The Essentials’ works to imagine and project an urban future that thrives on fundamentals, all the while asserting art’s own essential role in that evolution. The projection, which will appear on the west-facing Canadian Malting Silos, is approximately 10-15 minutes in length and will be looped.
