Ice Breakers: Root Cabin

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”40262″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]Like a constellation, Root Cabin is a mystery waiting to be discovered. Coloured cuts of wood can be seen through gaps in an alluring pile of weathered roots. When further explored by a visitor, the colours reveal a void that can be inhabited, and an iconic, nostalgic form of Canadian dwelling emerges. Artists Liz Wreford and Peter Sampson are very familiar with cold climates, hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Their firm, Public City Architecture, pursues design as social engagement, as place-making, and as an art of experience that makes places a conduit between individuals and their community. Root Cabin will be located at the We Brew Café patio.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
