Moving Forest

A forest on the go!

Moving Forest by NL Architects is a new installation designed to bring attention to the essential role urban trees play in our collective health. A living flock of 50 trees, each on its own set of wheels, will journey through different areas of the city, including Harbourfront Centre.

Schedule of Moving forest on the Waterfront

July 12: Moving Forest Parade to Harbourfront Centre

Experience a volunteer led parade featuring the 50 moving trees into Harbourfront Centre property. Once they have arrived, visitors are invited to hang out, enjoy the shade, and learn more about this unique project.

July 16: Canopy Connections - Dancing in the Square

Enjoy an evening of salsa, samba, soca and swing at Harbourfront Centre with the added beauty and shade of the Moving Forest installation.

July 19: Canopy Connections - UNITY Fest

Canada's largest hip hop festival will set a unique background for Moving Forest; showcasing art, beatboxing, breakdancing performances and more.

Once the exhibition wraps up, all 50 trees will find permanent homes in public spaces across the GTA. The trees will be available for viewing 24/7 during the duration of the installation.
