Fall in LOVE with a Toronto Waterfront Wedding

The Ward’s Island Association Clubhouse

February 2017

Many stories begin on Toronto’s Waterfront, including love stories, and it is one of Toronto’s gems for engagements and weddings. In all seasons, the Waterfront is bursting with options that rival any destination wedding. Let’s take a little trip, by season…

Spring

Love hangs in the air at this time of year, and it’s the perfect time to breathe it all in and soak up views of the water. The Toronto Music Garden is a magical location to host an outdoor spring wedding ceremony, followed by a relaxed reception at the Amsterdam Brewhouse lakeside upstairs patio.

Summer

A ceremony on the beach, followed by an intimate al fresco reception is possible right in the city! Artscape Gibraltar Point on the Toronto Islands offers the perfect opportunity for a sunny, sandy wedding in a magical location. Four other unique venues on the Toronto Islands – The Algonquin Island Association, Rectory Café, Shaw House and Ward’s Island Association – offer incredible options that feel like a cottage retreat.

Fall & Winter

When the light is low, the air is cool and the drinks are warm, it’s time to get cozy. Boxcar Social Harbourfront is an intimate space, full of dark wood and industrial touches, perfect for fall and winter weddings. The added bonus in winter; the option to ice skate with your wedding guests!

Toronto’s Waterfront is the perfect destination as you and your partner start your new journey!

This story was brought to you by Waterfront resident Michelle Cliffe, an event planner and proud owner of A Good Fork; a local Waterfront event rentals and planning company, and the Love Collective; a new wedding concept that is shaking up the wedding industry with offbeat weddings in cool locations like the Waterfront!
