Summer’s Arrived at Harbourfront Centre

June 2017

Summer is here and Harbourfront Centre is heating up!

This month’s festivals celebrate the diversity of our City, like the Toronto International Tap Dance Festival (June 2–4), which will feature new choreography and a chance to take part in workshops. Harbourfront Centre’s ever-popular outdoor movie series, Free Flicks, and weekly dance series, Dancing on the Pier, take place Wednesday and Thursday all summer, beginning on June 21 and 22. On June 27 celebrate Multiculturalism Day with Here in the 6ix, which includes a FREE Kardinal Offishall concert, a film series showcasing Toronto taxi stories, and youth performances by The Dream Catchers. Arrive early for the sunrise ceremony and free breakfast!

There’s even more weekly festivals and great music on deck as part of Sounds of Home. Celebrations start June 30 at Our Home On Native Land, where Harbourfront Centre will proudly showcase the rich artistic traditions of Indigenous peoples and newcomers through a family-friendly celebration of the land known as Turtle Island.
