TAILORED TWINS by Ferris + Associates, Peter Street Basin

This pair of faceted wooden hands rise three metres from the lookouts at the Peter Street Basin. Inspired by a photo of the Chrysler Building featuring two construction workers lounging on top of massive steel gargoyles, TAILORED TWINS seeks to evoke a similar aesthetic with two emotive, human sculptures. Both hands feature gold-mirror palms that bathe the basin in a warm, sun-like glow.
