Have you ever walked past that stunning white Tall Ship docked at the foot of Spadina and wondered, “What’s her story?”

Empire Sandy was originally built as a deep sea tug in the UK, 1943.  One of 1,464 in her fleet and the only one in existence today.

In the late 1970’s, she began her transformation from hard working tug to the magnificent Tall Ship that she is today.  Her new life as Canada’s largest passenger sailing ship was launched in 1982 right here in Toronto harbour.

Come learn more about her history, her involvement in WW ll, see photos of the transportation and become a part of her story!

Join as we celebrate Empire Sandy’s 75th anniversary on July 14 @ 7 PM.
