Kuumba: Celebrate Black History Month at Harbourfront Centre

This year, the longest-running celebration of Black History Month in Toronto is expanding to two weekends, February 3–4 and 10–11. Join Harbourfront Centre as they showcase musicians, filmmakers and artists who will tell the stories of Canadian women of colour and discuss issues facing Black Canadians today. Listen in on panels led by Desmond Cole, explore the photography of Zahra Siddiqui, enjoy film programs featuring the work of women filmmakers, and hear Canadian jazz luminary Tiki Mercury Clarke at an evening of incredible music – all for free.

Comedy fans; be sure to get your tickets! On February 11, Trey Anthony, of Da Kink in My Hair, invites you to an intimate night of honest girl talk in A Workshop in Self-Care: A Black Girl in Love with Herself. And, on February 4 and 11, Toronto comedian Trixx returns home with friends for a two-night comedy special that will have you rolling in the aisles.

There’s something for everyone at Harbourfront Centre’s Kuumba. For more information, click here.
