Celebrate Black History Month with the International Festival of Authors

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”40659″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text 0=””]The International Festival of Authors (IFOA) is proud to host a thought-provoking discussion with authors Simone Dalton, Rinaldo Walcott and Whitney French, about writing and authorship, as well as the opportunities and impediments to success in the book industry. David Bradford will guide the conversation on issues faced by black writers in today’s literary world.

This event is part of Kuumba 2018, Toronto’s longest-running celebration of Black History Month, organized by Harbourfront Centre.

Since 1974, the IFOA has hosted over 9,000 authors from more than 100 countries, including 22 Nobel Laureates, while providing Canadian writers a global forum in which to present their work. The IFOA’s event season runs from September to June at Harbourfront Centre, including the annual International Festival of Authors (October 18-28, 2018).
